What should APR Stage 1+ run me?
Have some money saved up and want to keep make my car a sleeper without upgrading to a K04. I have 2 years left on the warranty, and when that is up, will most likely add another two. What did it cost when you had it installed?

aprs stage one is great, they make 235hp which is a nice jump.

Thank you, what I meant was price wise. I have some money set aside that is looking to make its way into my car this weekend
Your b5 right, if so they don't make a stage 1+, that for the b6 which include injectors for like 1k. But your chip is $500 and will only get 200-208hp depending on your ecu code for 91oct, but if you get 93oct you looking at 206-214hp. The 235hp audiboy1618 said is the stage 1+ which isn't for b5ers. If you plan on doing the k04 upgrade in the near future then giac would be better b/c you can can just socket the new k04 chip right in and you'll get a $200 discount. And if you want more power you can get giac to flash your chip for $20 with the pc-16 file which is made to run with a 3bar fpr and 310cc injectors.
i dont want to do the turbo because of warranty issues. yes, im b5 01' to be exact.....the guy didnt tell me that stage 1+ was only available for the b6 thanks for letting me know. will i get better performance numbers with apr or giac without engine reliability suffering?
Giac would be 210hp, they are both very reliable and right around the same hp numbers. APR's acceleration with the chip is alot smoother than GIAC but GIAC seems to throw you into the seat harder, its more violent if that word should be used.

hmmmmm, i like they way you put that. well, i definitely like being thrown into my seat, but smooth acceleration from a dig is good if I am merging onto a highway. The only APR distributor in my state is only 10 mins away, so I will most likely go there. I have to check out one more possibility and they i will know for sure what I am doing.
