yea no way i woudl end up doing all taht stuff. This is why i think teh s4 is better for me. Levae it stock for a whiel and then chip and exhaust and ss.

 

apg, s4 is the last car u need, you have to know how to fix them urself. We have them in our shop everyday, they break,all the time.. You wont be able to afford to keep a s4 on the road, belive me.

yea i hear this all the time but my firends at the dealership dint seem to have problems with them and my audi mechanic has never seen one in their. I would have a warranty for it. Im only worried about the turbos and i would amke sure it would be covered in teh warranty. What else r they going in for?

 

I dont think there is any really "best" downpipe. I chose the labree downpipe, and it is very good. I have also have there highflow cat. As for the trans, you have to look on the web for used trans, carpart.com is a good one. I got mine from pittsburgh, pa. I had 2 of my friends drive my car before(about 5 times each), then i let them drive it after, both were amazed with the better ratios.The car pulled longer. With a ko4, all the mad torque is down low, we all know the 1.8t trans 1st gear is like .001 sec long, if that. With the 2.8trans u stay down in the ko4 powerband longer, so the car pulls harder longer. It was probably one of my best mods, and the more power u add, the better it gets.A ko4 a4 is fast 1st through 3rd, after 3rd, its a "slow" car, compared to alot out there.

 

With the 2.8 trans, up to what speeds does 3rd gear take you?

Also, Did the HFC make a difference to you??

 

how much was ur tranny? And what do u think a professional drievr could do in a K04 j31? 0-60?

 

3rd is about 90mph, you can go to 100mph, but the rpms get high, like 7100k

I got my trans for 650$,with 70k mi on it.


I would think with a good clutch(stage 3), A fully tuned j31 powerd ko4 car, with all the add ons.Meaning your making 340ft/pd ++, would be able to get anywhere from high 4s to low 5s. Its really hard to judge, im just guessing. I know with my trans, and when my car is running right, i can get mid 5s, and i am not a pro driver by any means. So im not sure what a pro could get. If you were in pa, i would take u for a ride so you could feel it out, and see what u wanted.


Talk to tomritt about this, he has a better understanding on it and can prolly give u a better guess. But remember, hes biased now with garret.

how r u only geting mids 5s, i thought u had a ton of work done to it. And i wnat to get low 5s maybe mid without having to do the tranny hopefully. And what do u mena add ons?
