Thr problems i am having iwth the car are not with the engine its with everything else. The guy that ownded it beofre didnt take good care of the car.

What? Do you have any imperical data? Forced induction on a n/a motor usually leads to more problems then say, a k04-15.

Nope mmart, i dont, in my tuning expeirences(not much, i admit). I have always thought a s/c would be more reliable, i know my car is not all that reliable,im always having a boost leak, or some hose flying off. Again, this is in my expeirenence, no data to back it up.

Uhh, lets not forget about what we're here to talk about guys

So any suggestions on the parts needed to upgrade to the pc-16 software?
the fmic, injectors, adj. fpr...and so on.

but then again the PES supercharger is only running 7-8psi I can see how a N/A motor can't really handle it as the internals are not built for much but this is not very much boost either I have to agree with audiboy I think you are definetly going to have more problems with a turbo car running some up to 24 psi

they only run 7-8 psi cus the cr on the motor is aready there, and without changing head, pistons or puttting a spacer in there to drop the cr down. you can only raise it to an equivlant 12.0/1 ratio on 91. If the motor had a lower cr, then you could cram more air/fuel into it and end up with the same equivlant cr, hence more power. the 1.8 is already made with a low cr for forced induction. so the ability to boost it more is aready built in.

Well, i've searched and read many different threads and still confused.

What i want to know is....
if i upgraded to pc-16 now. Do u ABSOLUTELY need the fmic???

Can i just run the pc-16 on just the 310cc injectors and adj. fpr?
What problems can this cuase witout the fmic, winter is coming up(just a thought)
and i'd get fmic in may/june

No, you dont absolutly need a fmic. Why not do other things if ur car is not ready for the pc-16, its agressive, and u can start breaking things pretty quick.
