Default What a weekend!!!

This might have been the best weekend for me and my car. First I got my oil change Mobile 1 oohhh she runs so much better. Then my tank was really low so I said what the heck I got 2 bottles of Seanfoam and I dumped one in the tank and I flushed the other one in the engine, I can really feel the take off now. Then to make things even better that same night Im dropping of a friend and her kids at their house and since it was really dark around Shea Stadium aka "Citifield", I decided to turn on my front and rear fogs. 10 min. later i get pulled over by the cops becauses he's convinced my tail light blew out . It was too funny but he didnt even give me a hard time since the kids where sleeping in the back. The only thing now is to find someone with a Vag-Com in my area because I have the CEL from the Seafoam.

haha woah... i tried that once too with a trooper behind me i had my high beams on and of course the fog lights shut off, but when another car was commin at me obviously i would shut them off which would turn on my fog lights and i know theres only one in the back, did it multiple times, but he just floored it and passed me probably without a seat belt while talking on his cell phone as most cops do but lol was fun tryin

Yeah, just do the dual rear fog mod and you'll be fine.

I have the CEL from the Seafoam
I've read a lot of Seafoam posts, as I'm planning on doing it on my 2.8 next oil change, but I haven't seen this mentioned. Maybe I'm reading the wrong threads, or maybe the people who've done it and have posted the threads I've read have been lucky. What code does it throw when triggering the CEL?

Ah wait a minute - I just read the 1.8T procedure. Did you get the CEL because of unhooking the vacuum line to the manifold so you could suction the stuff into the engine? Is it a CEL related to that?

I really dont know what codes its thowing because I didnt get my vag-com cable yet ( its on the way since this post started lol). But from what I read I might of put alittle to much and the engine thought it was flooding. By the way does anybody live in Queens with a Vag-Com I need to learn how to use it.

you get a CEL because the spark plugs get a little flooded with seafoam and you get the code for misfires on all cylinders just clear it and you'll be good

you definitly should not have put a full bottle through the vac line... you are supposed to use about a third of a bottle...
