About 5 months ago I purchased a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro and have been completely in love with it. The only thing that has been pissing me off is that whenever I go over a speed bump, once I'm coming down from it, the front shocks bottom out and make this really loud "thump" noise. It feels like the springs curl as far as they can go and then bottom out... I think I have my shocks blown but I don't know who to take it to out here in Northern Virginia since I'm in the military and don't really know too many people outside the base. If anybody can help me please, let me know!!!

your bumpstops are prolly fucked up.

 

prolly shocks going out. push down teh front and let it go, see if it keeps bouncing or if it's really soft

 

If I push down on it, it doesnt bounce up, it just slowly comes back...what could it be?

 

sounds like the shocks are stuffed to me

 

i'd just go with shocks or shock bushing. have a mechanic shop check it out.
