Default What's your idle speed at traffic stops

My idle speed always goes way low (300-500) after slowing to a stop in traffic. (Stop sign or stop light) If I briefly tap the gas peddle right after coming to a stop, the idle speed goes up to normal. (Around 900 rpm)

I've gotten a few misfire codes (300 to 304) on all cylinders as well as P1559 (Idle Speed Contr.Throttle Pos. Adaptation Malfunction). I'm thinking it could be the occasionally low idle speed that is causing the misfires. How do you solve the occasionally low RPM at traffic stops?

No, I don't have a VAG-COM

Steady 990/1000

Its your idle control valve, once they get old they cannot keep the proper idle.

Do these have an idle control valve? It seems dofferent than a typical ICV.

when my GF's ICV went bad on her bemer it didnt give any codes for misfires but it did friek out at traffic stops and die sometiems... i dunno if that helps, try getting the ICV looked at and see if that helps the misfire problem
