has anybody on the forum ever made their own wheel bearing press for the rear wheel bearing on a 99 a4 all wheel drive, or been succcesful removing the bearing with out a press via a hammer or something, without removing the bearing housing from the car, trying to save on an alinement, funds are a little tight right now. Thanks

 

Do you have a Harbor Freight Tools near you? Real cheap small presses that you can use.

 

How about taking the parts to a garage and have them press it in.

 

Both very good suggestions. Usually an independant shop will press bearings at a very resonable price. Just call around till the price is right.
