Default Wheel diameter with Quattro

I was wondering if I could pick a couple people's brains concerning quattro, i know i can't run a staggered application because it would royally *** f**k my quattro, but this brings up another question, i just ordered wheels, what would happen if i ever got a flat on one of those and would have to use the spare that came with the car? Is it OK to have a diff diameter on just one wheel for a short amount of time if that would ever happen or would even that short amount of time even screw it up? Just wondering, cause that would be a PIA to leave it sit or have to get it towed when it is just a flat tire.

i had my spare on yesterday, you can't leave your car on the side of the freeway or in the ghetto, if you put your spare on and drive to the gas station or a tire place I don't think you would have a problem or get run flat tires so you will have time to get to a tire place. but I didn't have a problem, btw my wheels are 18" and my spare is a 16".

For temp use the spare will be ok but only in short distances, if you stager wheel sizes you will **** up your Quattro system and only bad things will happen that is unless when staggering the wheel sizes you have different tire sizes to compensate for the rolling radius difference, so if you get the rolling radius to be equal by having different size tires you will be ok
