I was wondering if anyone knew what the widest I could go is with 18 inch wheels. I have seen mostly 8 and 8.5 inches, with a few 9 and 9.5 inch widths. I want something that is gonna be really sick as far as width is concerned, I just don't want to be rubbing on every turn and bump and yes I am planning on putting a new suspension on the car that may lower it up to 2 inches, so that needs to be taken into consideration as well. If anyone could provide me with some assistance, it would be much appreciated.

 

I wouldn't go wider than 8.5" w/ 235's .

 

I think TomRitt has 18x9s with 225s or 235s. I think he also rubs all the time. 8.5 with 235/40R-18s would be what I recommend for you. And 2" is quite a bit.
