When I finally blow my MAF.....
When I finally blow my MAF.....what will be the symptoms or the codes that I'll get?
Just asking because I have one of THESE and I've heard people argue for and against them.
This valve doesn't do anything unless you release your foot off the gas, and usually isn't even heard unless you're in 1st or 2nd gear.
But I love the sound when it does kick a little atmospheric illness.
Personally, I could care less about the for/against argument - I'm just curious as to what happens in the event that something DOES go wrong with the MAF.
Thanks.
woooosh.

"atmospheric illness" ???.... Please...
If you dont care about the for/against arguments you are ignorant. Im just being honest. Apparently all you care about is having some whoosh sound and no knowledge about what you are doing to your engine, or how this part affects your engine by using it. When your MAF dies you will get either rich or lean codes which when it does happen, its going to be hard to identify if the cause is the maf or the stupid BOV you are using that is making you run rich. The only way it is a good idea, or safe to use a BOV is if your MAF is after the BOV, or if you are tuned to run mafless. Ive answered your question about the MAF, and the rest of this BOV crap has been addressed and beaten to death with helpful information that some of you prefer to ignore.. So in the interest of saving your *** from getting flamed and preventing another useless BOV thread (even though you covered it nicely with a MAF question), this thread is locked.....
whooosh..
How about doing some tech research and educate yourself on how a BOV and diverter valve work and how they are different and what AFFECTS they have on your engine instead of the EFFECTS??
