when O2 sensors go bad?

Both mine are shot. Only way I found out was with my cheapo 20$ ebay scan tool.

where can i find cheap ones? any thoughts! i just dropped over 1500 to fix the problems audi said it was and its still messed up! only thing i can think of now is those!

oxygensensors.com has the best prices i can find. Just dont get a universal sensor cuz youll probably have to do some splicing and it wont be worth the $10 or so extra youll save.

YES. Do yourself a favor and go with the OEM (Bosch I believe) sensors. I've tried the "cheap" route and it didnt' work out, never ran right.

i just checked on the post about the impossible start and im gonna try what that guy did. he just cleaned the throttle body and reset the computer. that might be the problem. See if i leave the car sit for a few hours, its hard to start. but if i just turned off the car and start back up, its fine! but then it runs like **** either way when im driving it.

If you have the ATW engine you can use the VW sensor from ECS tuning which costs less than 30 dollars.

How about some more info instead of leaving us all guessing?

What exactly is the problem you are having?

What is the year/model/mileage of the car?

Is the car throwing any codes?

If you provide the info, one of the many knowledgable folks here may be able to tell you what to look at.
