nah, if I spend $250 on it it'll make me not want to do the custom job in the stock cluster.. This is really just a temp solution, I'd like to keep under $100.

I may end up just getting a steering wheel pod anyway and doing some custom kung-fu on it to make it lower and off to the side a little.

anyone know what color code the dash paint is?
If its temporary, why waste the time and money on one now???

Because it'll be a temp solution for a few months until we are done fixing the house and i can push money towards the car projects instead of giving it to the it to contractors hand over fist

I personally like the out the window hose, gauge on passenger seat placement as well seriously though you can do ur own vent, by dremeling out a circle. I saw it done on audizine a couple weeks ago

oh yeah, rite... sorry :P

I don't think the DIY would be as straight forward as cutting a hole on the B6. The B5 vent comes out as one section which you can cut pretty easily.

for the B6 it looks like you'd need to secure the slats onto the gauge as well as the side of the vent. I can only imagine how much of a PITA it'd be to get both sides level.

Maybe I'll make a mold of the vent and work with that. So much potential, but after all this I'll probably mess it up and end up buying the damn AWE one anyway lol.

New South Performance does make a leftsided steering column mount. They only advertise it for the VW MK4. I think it will fit. I bought one...so hopefully it will fit.

The gauge Silver Seven made looks good. I personally plan to get the AWE I think it's worth the money.
