My 1st post here...

So I installed a dension ice link in the car (really easy to do) my issue is where to put the ipod. I really want it hidden where it is not found. My thing is that how can i get it to the glove box. Even for me to use a wire hanger looks to be really hard to sneak it in there. Any one have any ideas? I have an 06..so I guess the 05 guys know what I mean about how its sealed off.

 

my friend just did that. Audi has to remove ur head unit. After that, there are already holes installed in the glove box for this type of application. I think he just snaked the wires behind the dash and into the glove box... making the ipod totally invisible. I dont kno if ur type of application is the same. Ill tell him to look at this post and tell u exactly what he did. (His forum name is Cince623 if u want to pm him)

 

I just installed an Ice-Link today in my 06 and I put the Ipod in the glovebox. If you look closely when you open the glovebox there is a slight opening on the left and I snuck the end of the wire on the docking cradle through there and looped it around to the back of the radio. Then I used to 3M velcro to hold it down in the lower back left of the glovebox this is the best hidden installation to do.

 

Is it possible to do an ice link install on a car that has satellite radio without navigation?

 

as long as there is another port in the back of ur head unit yes. Otherwise, something will need to be disconnected. (i.e. the cd changer)
