nice find.. i just put in a pillar style gauge and i dont like it..

 

yea thats not bad, i really like the vent boost gauges, but like the only one i think is really nice is the awe one, and well that ones $250... so i'm trying an mkiv offset boost gauge pod, and tinkering with it to see if it will fit my car's column

 

That looks like a flat piece of plexiglass with a hole cut in it and the back spray painted black. That would cost like $3 to build.
That's how i did my stereo back plate. (although it is dirty and looks bad in this pic.)

Yea that's just a piece of lexon. I made one out of red lexon just to see how it would look before puting in the 1 i made out of pvc. If you want it ill give it to you. Give me a few minutes and ill post a pic.

 

This is a guy from Audizine or AudiWorld that makes these......

From what I've seen, people rave about them and it's tough to beat the price.
He actually has a DIY / Walkthrough posted somewhere but it's kind of a pain to make them and he's basically offereing to save people the trouble for a small fee.

This is what i went with i think it look's much better. Thought about putting an red angled vertical strip on it.

 

Hey I bought it... beats messing with my vent... oh wait... I already tore into it
