What's the average price to get some windows tinted? Whats a good %? i don't want it to be super dark, but i do want it dark enough.

 

round 150-22 is fair and i think 30% is good

 

I just got my windows tinted today and I am very happy with it. The guy I went to does tinting for the local BMW and Mercedes dealerships and has been doing it for quite a while. He recommended 25% on all the side windows and 20% on the back window. It looks really nice. I told him that I still want be able to see into the car but only see shadows of objects. It turned out exactly that. It was 150 bucks and lifetime warranty.

 

dark interior - 35%
tan interior- 20%
Tan interior rear windshield- 5-10%

 

i have tan interior and i like my 35%

it cost around 200

 

I used to have 35% on my car.. but in the sun, the interior lighted up green..... weird

Since i got my 20% i havn't had as much of a problem... but the sun will light up a little green.

My next car is going to be dark interior with 35% all round.

but as for now... i love the 20% all round.

 

Watch out for the tint law for your state...

 

35% is WA State, I want to do more than that, but I don't want to get pulled over because someone thinks my Tint is too dark. Stupid ticket for them to write you IMO... [:@]

 

fyi, u cant get pulled over cuz the pigs think that your tint is too dark. if u are speeding or something in that nature and u get pulled over, then u can get a ticket for too dark of a tint.

 

i got stopped for the tint on my windows. i had to take it off.. but it's going back on in a few weeks.

the legal % in WI is 30%. that's not alot of tint at all
