that crack is caused by the poor removal of the rear view mirror not any tint

 

Smells fishy. I would make them buy your friend a new windshield. If they don't know how to remove a rear wiew mirror, they shouldn't be in the window tinting business to begin with.

yea... deffinatly effed up trying to take the mirror off

looks like they pushed down pretty hard on the post that the mirror is attatched to

hense the fracture lines leading away from the bottom of the mount

 

that is caused by improper removal of the the mirror, the same exact thing happened when I tried replacing my rearview mirror if you pull or twist it wrong the glass cracks

tell them first what your intentions are and perhaps they will buckle under pressure ( because you know what happened ) if they laugh then the pictures you put up show the impact area of the problem ( a pity you dont have any pictures before it went in ) that could be a problem but scare tactics are a +1 in this kind of thing so say only what is required the shut up
