Default Windshield Washer Leak

I just filled my washer resevoir, and the entire gallon leaked onto the floor within 5 minutes, so it's a massive leak. I don't know if this is related, but I noticed my headlight washers stopped working about a month ago (they used to work). I was just wondering if anyone out there has had a similar problem, and how hard it is to fix. If it were summer here in Minnesota, I'd just dig into it, but with an unheated garage, I don't want to start it if it's going to take over an hour or so.

I've had the exact same problem. If you are lucky it is just a bad hose. If you are unlucky the pump housing may be cracked (they are very prone to cracking).

How to fix

Where's it leaking from, under the bumper?

I had the same problem with my 2001 A4. I had to replace the fluid tank. It took about an hour and the tank costed around 40 dollars if i'm remebering right. I had a crack in mine, I don't know if that is the case for you too though.

Most likely either a cracked reservoir or if it is leaking from under the bumper, a cracked headlight washer.

It must be either the hose or the tank. It's dumping right down the middle. I'm glad to hear the tank is relatively cheap, and takes about an hour to fix. Thanks to everyone.

For what it's worth, it was a cracked headlight washer pump. About $35 for the part, and about an hour's time. No big deal. If you have the same problem, do it yourself. My dealer quoted $250 to fix it.
