Default windshield wiper PROBLEMS 911

i was driving today in the rain with my wipers on and all of a sudden the wiper arms stopped working. when i got home i checked the arms and they would not move up and down manually...which led me to believe that the wiper tranny is fine.....i'm guessing the motor went bad! or can it possibly be a blown fuse or relay?

ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

BYT EH WAY...THIS IS FOR A 1998.5 A4 1.8T

I think the turn signal is on the same power relay so if they work then it is probably the wiper motor.

first of all your wipers don't have a tranny, and second it sounds like your wiper motor seized.

Could be the fuse, could be that the motor seized, or could be that the armature seized.

Can't tell over the internet.

well obviously check the fuse... could be anything though like the switch. Take a voltmeter and make sure your getting current to the motor if your fuse is good
