recently the wipers on my Audi A4 have stopped working but the screen washers do work, i think it is a relay problem if so where is the wiper relay located.

 

ok its an Audi A4, what year/ engine size obvious need to know stuff

 

1996, 1.8 (1781 CC) if it helps its also an automatic

 

the wipers don't have a relay as such just a relay for intermittent wash wipe, #24 fuse if for the wipers and windshield washers so if they are working it could only be a couple of things
1. bar came off from the motor you would need to inspect that area ( can you hear the wiper motor at all?? this would indicate that's the problem
2. burned out motor
3. wiring problem

4. wiper stalk on the steering wheel not making contact try spraying into there with some dielectric spray to clean the contacts and I missed ) that one out of the other post

 

in the morning when i start the car and i put my wipers on they work for a short period and then just cut off.

 

that sounds like the stalk switch loosing contact like when you flick the switch for a single wipe
