Default Won't start on a hot day!

My car starts up fine every morning when heading to work and the last couple of days, my car won't start after work around 4 pm. The car is park out in the sun and it's been getting up to 80 degree now and day. I can hear the starter but the engine just won't crank over. If I open the hood for ten minutes and try starting up, it starts up like a champ. Also sometimes the car starts up right away with one click and some days it takes a few clicks for the starter to turn the engine on. HELP ME ANYONE!!!

Get the battery checked. A bad batery will actually be more of a problem when hot then when it is cold.

I will try that because I heard it could be the coolant temp sensor and change that yesterday. It still had a problem starting. The funny thing is if I use the remote key chain to lock and unlock it a few times, it start's up.

Got the battery check and it's still good. My car still dies in the sun, can't figure out the problem?

Hum, I am at a loss now. Only thing I can think of is to call an Audi dealer (or an independent shop that works on Audi) and explain it to them and see what they say. Unless someone else on here has other ideas.

Ok now just replace the crankshaft sensor and it still have the problem, now I'm going straight to the dealer and have them check it out. Not worth putting in more money trying to figure out the problem when it's not working right afterward.

The problem was a connection with the ecu they said. Audi want $800 to fix some it but I told them hell no. I played around with the fuses in the fuse box and some how the problem went away. No issues since.
