Default Xenon and other

I want to put xenon headlights for my 05 audi a4. I was wondering how do I go about doing that? What kind of place do I have to take my car to get them installed? How much would it cost? Basically I just want the low beam and high beam to emit white light to give my car a better look on the road at night. Plus I've heard they're actually safer than regular bulbs. Are there any risks on putting these kinds of bulbs on my car ie. electrical system problems?

Also, what would you guys recommend me to put on my grill. Apparently A4's in the US have a plug to put your license plate. I was wondering what I should put there, I dont want to put anything too strong that would take it away from the Audi rings. Can you remove that piece for the license plate?

Buy a set of xenons and install them yourself.

What do you mean? What do you want to put "on" your grille?

What kit should I get for the lights? My grill has a spot for a vanity license plate so that you can screw the license plate in. I dont want to put anything there that would overpower the rings. Maybe like a black vanity plate with the words 'Audi' in red would look nice I think but I don't know where to get one.

Your Audi dealer can supply you with vanity plates or go to ebay.

First off xenons are great...Second you dont want to replace them...you will get stuck with a huge bill b/c the dealership will want to replace the whole headlight no matter whats wrong with it..its expensive....just replace your bulbs with blue ones you get somewhat of the same effect

don't get the blue ones, they're crap. if you can't afford Xenons, go with silverstars.

The lights I had were RS6 lights from oemhid.com.

When you say you have a 2005 mrfredo82, do you have the brand new B7 model or the B6?

Even better than silverstars, are PIAA's... the extreme white's or something to that effect... 4000K ish.

they cost about 50% more than silverstars though, but I've had them in an old 1990 passat for about 3 maybe 4 years now, and they are great. Silverstars are still sorta yellow looking, but they are bright. I put them in my fogs on my 2000, when my cheap blue ones burnt out (because yeah, they are crap) -- and didnt want to spend the money on Piaa for fog lights, so went for silverstars... they look very yellow, below the hids, but were much brighter than the 'cool blue' ones that the sylvania's replaced.

is that true about the dealer wanting to replace the whole headlight? Doesn't seem right... they can obviously be broken down into several different parts, right? bulbs, ballasts, ect?
