Hey, if you want a "true xenon" kit, i got mine from Umnitza.com, email the guy and tell him your car and what color bulbs you want. I got the 6,000K which is white with a slight blue hue, very bright. $300 shipped. I had PIAA's in before, if you want them there yours for 50 shipped, let me know. But IMO I'd just go all the way with the Xenon's, just insanely brighter than anything.

As for those $hitty bulbs on ebay, you get what you pay for.

I can personally attest to Umnitza's quality product and service. They do a lot of work for BMWs, and I've dealt with Matt on a few occasions. Excellent customer service, and great prices.

They post a lot on e46fanatics.com a bmw forum i'm active at.

yea whatever you do dont get the blue bulbs, I almsot died many times because of those. You can't see **** with them. I'm not sure if rs6 hid's fit in the new headlights but im sure you could retrofit them if you have some mechanical and electrical skills. A guy on audizine sells them for $300

i'm thinking of upgrading to Xenons in the low beam, but know the high beam could use a little help too. Anyone melt a harness or a housing due to overwattage bulbs?

Yeah I've heard of melting the housing by using high wattage bulbs. I would try to stick to the 55watt bulbs.

The lights I had were RS6 lights from oemhid.com.

When you say you have a 2005 mrfredo82, do you have the brand new B7 model or the B6?
Jestnomen, I have the B7, 2005.5.
