Default Your Thoughts on My FUTURE setup

Hey guys, I've been a member here for quite some time. I don't have an audi yet. I'm gona sell my civic soon, and then im going to buy a 03 a4 1.8t quattro. Probably going to be around 80k miles.

I'm visiting the private seller tomorrow. So, I'm hoping that someone will help me with a list of questions i should ask. I;m guessing that his warranty is over. Is this somethign i should worry about? Thanks.

Okay. So this is what I'll be doing, in order from first to last. I'm not mechanically inclined. Infact everythign I know about cars is from studying this website for like five hours. So, be lenient, please.

1) Change the Oil, to M1
2) Change the timing belt, water pump, and... oil pump?
3) Forge 007 Diverter Valve
4) 20% Tint
5) GIAC chip
6) Milltek exhaust
7) Springs. Anyone know how to make the wheel gap the same on the front and rear? I'm very picky about this, and its got to be the same for me. Heh
8) Breaks, probably one from ECStuning

So hows that idea? Steps 6,7, and 8 are going to be done a lot later.

Thanks

9) Rims. Too far in the future to even think about what type.

Edit: That and I'm super picky.

i'd say make sure the car is mint first..or closest that it could be..i'd do springs first personally, depends what kind of driver u are.. lol...other than that.. looks like a good list.

What I'm afriad of is that this guy modded it, drove it hard, and its starting to give up. So he put the stock parts on and is selling it now. I'm hoping this isn't the case. Is there a way to find out?

My friend told me to drive it hard. Thats how I'll know, when im testing driving it.

Any ideas?

Thats quite sometim for me. Heh.

Another question, because I don't want to clutter the message board:

If i want to get the buyers audi inspected by a dealer, how long would it take? Is it something we can take there for like an hour?

Thanks for the replies to the set up, btw.

takes a little less than a hour. my bro did mine cause he works there so it was free but im not sure what it would cost. its like a 50-60 point inspection so its pretty helpful.

Should I be there when it is done? Or is the paper that they give him to show me good enough proof?

Do you really wanna drop that much mone on a car with that many miles? More than just timing belts and water pumps will need to be replaced!
Im not saying that 80k is alot of miles but you gotta think about the long run......
