Default A5 B&O sub / aftermarket sub questions

I just bought a new 2011 audi a5, with the bang and olufsen sound package. What i was wondering was if it is a better idea to take out the current sub (by the rear window) and replace it with a 10 inch sub like a jl, or just do a trunk setup. The only problem i see with replacing it, is it is not sealed so itd be a free air, does jl even make free airs anymore? The other question is what would be a good sub, i want something powerful (i really like the w7) but i dont want to destroy my new car through the vibrations, especially the trunk. Also, would it overpower the B&O system? The other thing is i want to still have a lot of trunk space, would it be possible to mount a thin line sub in the side, like where the nav electronics are hidden?

I'm still reading up on info as far as Audi's are concerned, but I am experienced in Car Audio. JL is a great brand but you may not always get the best bang for buck because of the name (JLs are known to be overexpensive). The w1v2 is a free air sub i believe, but you may want to check on that. they also make flats that you can create a custom enclosure with and make it look just like your trunk lining. They also make stealth boxes if you don't want to make an enclosure yourself, but I don't see one available for an Audi yet.

One thing I would note, if you add a sub to the trunk it will sound a lot better but don't forget to count in the cost of an amp/installation. I'd also recommend removing the sub by the rear window if you do add it in. The increased pressure in the trunk will reduce the life of it significantly. Then if you sell it later you can replace the B&O sub and keep your JL for whatever future ride you pick
