Default Audi A5 2009 vs Honda Civic 2014 Advice

So I plan to buy the car this week and I have to choose between an audi a5 2009 with 74K miles 22K $ vs a honda civic 2014 with 14K miles 16K $
I am european and I drive an audi there and I know americans prefer hondas and types like that but somehow the kid in me just wants the audi.
I am kind of afraid of the service if the audi brakes..
Here are the cars with carfax and all details. Yes, honda should be a no brainer but I don't know...I need some opinions. Thanks.

2014 Honda Civic Coupe LX Fox Lake IL | Waukegan Grayslake Ingleside Illinois 2HGFG3A53EH502071

2009 Audi A5 Base Fox Lake IL | Waukegan Grayslake Ingleside Illinois WAUDK78T59A027931

Please look at the CARFAX details also...and tell me an opinion. Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

Also, received a suggestion for this car:

I would greatly appreciate your opinions. Thank you.

In general, Audi's are much more expensive to repair than Honda's. I think it's due to the fact that there are more aftermarket Honda parts in the U.S. than Audi. Other than the usual maintenance parts, you'll most likely have to purchase a genuine Audi part when you need something repaired.

Maintenance on the A5 will be more expensive and you will have a harder time finding a mechanic with enough experience. There are millions upon millions of Honda Civics so most mechanics will have worked on hundreds if not thousands of Civics before. That means they will be able to identify the cause of most problem quickly. With Audi's, there is a lot of trial and error and replacing expensive parts you "think" may be causing the problem.

Also, the 2009 model year A5 was relatively new so there were a lot of kinks in design that hadn't been ironed out. Do a quick search on 2009 A5 reliability and you will find more than a few scary/expensive problems.

That said, any Audi A5 will always outclass a Honda Civic in terms of performance, comfort, and prestige.

For me, the choice comes down being prudent or emotional. If you want to be smart with your money, go with a Honda Civic. If you want to look good, feel good, and drive around with a silly grin on your face, then go for the A5.

I've owned a Civic and I currently drive a 2013 A5. My Audi A5 is hands down the best car I have ever had.
