Audi A5 2011
A week ago had EPC light on, + Check engine light, with extremely rough idling and car was not starting.
Two coils were changed, and all spark plugs + Coolent temp sensor.
Car ran great for few days only, then EPC light came on again, a lot of smoke from exhaust, and of course check engine light too.
Car idles roughly up to 3000 RPM, then drives smoothly as if there is nothing wrong. There is no smoke from the engine anymore, after i drove it, but lights still on dashboard.
A fast scanner check showed a misfire in cylinder 4, and my mechanic wants to change all injectors and coils which i feel reluctant about doing.
Do you think a faulty coil can be the problem? As far as i know, if a coil is malfunctioning, it will not function at all, so this doesnt explain the smooth engine after 3000 RPM. Could it injector of cylinder 4 only? a faulty sensor?
Anyone been through this ?
