the buttons on my steering wheel are not working and the airbag light comes on. I think the clock spring in the steering wheel is broken. I asked the dealer for the price quote on the parts and he said it cost about 450 bucks. is this a ripoff? i search on the net and most of them cost around 40 -50 buck but i couldn't find one for my car.

contact Carson at Riverside Audi (he has discount for AudiWorld members) and instsall yourself. Part is not cheap, but $450 is outrageous! $316.68 with AudiWorld discount, $373.86 without the AW discount. Website here: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=215021

Then install it yourself by following most of the steps from my AW Tech article on replacing the turn signal stalk here: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec162.shtml

Tools required are torx drivers and screwdrivers, and the ONLY tool you probably do not have on hand is the M-12 triple sqaure for the steering wheel bolt, but you can buy it for $15 at Autozone (as part of a set).
