I have a 2007 A6 3.2 V6 Quatro. When I start the car and drive 1/4 of a mile a strong smell of gas overwhelms the cab. I opened the hood, and did not smell any fuel. I also checked for gas smell in the trunk and it was not there. Upon getting down and smelling under the car it was strong around the rear passenger door undercarriage area. I have read several people complaining about this problem on other year models, but nothing for an 07.

I also removed the gas cap, and there was no pressure released from the cap. After reading the other posts from people with older models, and similar problem, Im assuming my problem is on top of the gas tank, with some kind of tube. If you have any suggestions, that would be helpful. If you know of where I can get a DYI of how to remove the gas tank, that would also be very helpful.
