was doing some research and found this however i couldnt find an answer so does anyone know the 15 common faults or wear items that you should check for on the a6 ?


- 0 area(s) on the bodywork to inspect
- 3 engine check(s) to make
- 1 wear item(s) to spot on the suspension
- 4 interior item(s) that you need to ensure work
- 7 official recall(s) that should have been completed

Get a full inspection on any vehicle you intend to buy. Dont even worry about 15 stupid points. Theres alot of things that can be wrong with any vehicle.

I had to repace control arms on my 98 A6. There was a recall on 1998 and maybe other years I think for two of the control arms.
I had a window motor go out.
The trip display usually goes bad.
The auto dimming fluid on the side mirrors has leaked out. I have seen this on VW Jettas also.
