Default 17" wheels for 2003 3.0?

Sorry that I blew my first post --of course, it's a 3.0.
Greetings from a newly registered type. I have just purchased an A6 2003 3.0 quattro with stock 16" wheels. Can I put 17" wheels on this car without concern for spacers or anything else? Any other "you should knows" for this first-Audi guy? I did do a quick search, but feel free to just refer me to a thread. Thank you!

You can use pretty much anything up to a 20" wheel with little or no headache as long as the bolt pattern and offset are correct. As for other info, check the sticky posts in the new member area and the B5 A4 forum - you can learn a lot there and much of the A4 info will transfer to the A6 as well due to so many interchangeable parts.

Thank you, ITD. Appreciate the response and the lead. I saw new 2.7-owner and newbee-rules stickies only, but I'll search.
