Ive come to realize that there are several different color coolants available for Audi . Blue , Pink, Red and Purple. My Coolant light came on for a minute this morning and my level is a little low. Since i just bought this car i am going to use Distilled water to top it off for now and flush the system this weekend but which color goes back in ?? I drive a 1999 A6 Quattro 2.8. Thanks!

The audi dealer had the stuff cheaper than NAPA, go figure.

 

96-97 cars should have all been using pink, so your 99 should have pink in it now. Check your tank to be sure. Either way you are flushing the system so that's good. As far as the Audi pink and blue goes, if mixed it will turn to jello and plug up your cooling system.
