Default 1999 Audi A6 2.8 - few problems... need help

hey, i just bought an audi a6 2.8
however the car came with a few problems.
when i was looking at the car at the used car dealership i was playing with the sunroof and windows and seats. and when i went for the test drive the drivers window wouldnt go back up. all the windows in the car would not go up or down. they told me that the circuit breaker was overloaded and that it needed time to cool down and it would automatically reset itself. i drove the car home and i still cant get the windows to work.
wats wrong?
maybe the window lock switch broke, or something in the circuit.
the windows worked fine until the test drive.
also my other problem is the electronic display screen between the tach and the speedometer is broken. the screen is really unclear so thats all that is probably wrong. where can i buy a new screen?
just got this nice car for a good price and i really wish to get these problems fixed as soon as possible. ill try to post pics of the display to show u the problem... thanks

Well we all know that the display doesn't work, nearly all of us have the same problem so don't think you're alone. If you'd like you can send it to Module Masters for around $140 ($120 plus shipping) and they'll fix it up good as new. That seems to be the favorite place on here for the past few weeks. Otherwise dealerships will charge upwards of $500 for a new one and there are other places that will charge more to replace the screen. If you don't want to spend the money, just leave it be.

well i brought the car to a shop, and it happened to be a stupid fuse -.-
cause what i didnt kno that the dome/interior light fuse also worked with the windows and sunroof. however.. when i was parked i wanted to open the sunroof to see if it worked. and somehow the fuse popped again -.-
so my windows dont work again. could it be some kind of short in the circuit that keeps popping the fuse? cause it seemed to break when i try to open the sunroof. any suggestions?
thanks on the responds about the screen. hopefully it wont be too hard to get the screen out. if its not too much work then i might go through with getting it fixed, but theres no way im paying 500 to get it fixed..lol

No problem. LOL!

Screen is part of the cluster. You have to pull the whole thing out. 2 bolts under the cover thats between the steering colum and cluster.

I take it the sunroof does not open at all, because your not asking how to close it. The motor could be bad in the sunroof. That would cause the fuse to blow -short.
