When I pull the front drive axle out of the tranny, is there a seal there or just a gasket.
Mine is leaking like a sieve.

Seals. One on each side. Which side is it leaking? I did the passenger side about a year ago. The seal was about $40 from genuinevwaudiparts.com. It requires you to drop the axle and remove the shaft mounting flange.
