Please advise,
I have a '01 a4 (b5) 1.8T manual with original front bearings and axles (boots still intact)- 113k miles now.

I'm getting a low frequency "crunching like" sound coming from the front area, this noise is "felt" more when turning.

From what I read here, it could be drive axle problems, but again the boots are not ripped or anything.
I guess it could be bearing problems as well...but that would be a tougher job...
