I recently purchased a 2000 A6 2.7T and I love it!! I checked to make sure all the normal repairs were done for 93K and everything had been. BUT, now I am have a few electrical issues. The fuel pump wasnt turning on so I got a new one just to discover that the wires going to the pump were not getting any power. I checked the relay and the fuse and both seemed ok. I then hard wired the pump with new power and ground. It got the pump to turn on and fuel is running to the motor yet now it seems like there is a spark issue. Someone told me there is a sensor or relay that controls power to the pump and spark to the motor....? I dont know if this is true but, if it is I wondering if someone can tell me where and what it is. But, if not does anyone know what it could be?
