Default 2000 2.7t overheating

Hey All. last week I picked up a 2000 2.7t. It has 78K on it. I can't find record of the timing belt being done so that is going to happen next week. What else should I have then do while there are in there?

However, today the EPC light came on and will not turn off. Also the temp goes up and down to just ourside the red.At60 its norhmal and thenand then bounces up if I get on it a little.

Any ideas? I bought from a dealer that stated the car was fit and mechanically sound. Do I have any rights.

Ok so I am your basic moron....I was looking at the oil temp thinking wow that's a little hot....

Thats all good but the EPC light is still on. The car seems to run fine with the exception of the stock navigation system which I cannot even get to fire up...any ideas on that

I have RNS-D navigation too. Believe me, it is tedious.
