Have you checked the door contacts? If there is not a good contact or a loose contact the alarm can go off randomly.

 

Sorry for the slow follow-up response on this (and other) threads. Seems the email notification is not working for me on this forum, will triple check my preferences.
I will check the door contacts. What is the best way to tell the contacts are working properly other than seeing an obvious visual problem?

 

If you are having problems with the alarm system, then by using VAG-COM you may get a list of error codes from the alarm module. You may get VAG-COM from www.ross-tech.com .
