noticed a few days ago my passenger side lamp was really dimmer than usual...finally today its not working at all...jus the yellow side lamp is on...does the whole light need to be replaced? is it just a bulb? or dirty connection possibly?

first you need to find out if its a bad ballast or bulb which you can do by swapping the ballast from the working headlight to rule that out. Most likely you need a new bulb which you will probably want to get a pair so they match.

I replaced the driverside on mine. The bulb was $80 and since that didn't fix it, I replaced the ballast that I bought on ebay for $110. Audi wanted $505 just for the ballast alone. Do not touch the bulb what ever you do.Originally Posted by bornnation29

First, it's no problem to touch the bulb, but please wait until it cool down. It use a plastic bulb holder to hold the bulb onto the projector. Originally Posted by Bradw
