I recently bought an A6 Quattro, 2.7 turbo, as in one week ago recently. I love the car but running into a few problems/questions and the manual is in pieces. I hope someone can help!

It only came with one metal key, that has the black plastic top, I am guessing this is the valet key, and the little black plastic key. Did the 2001 models have the immobilizers that I would need to go to a dealer or can I just order a blank key and have it cut and program the remote myself? Also, I have no key tag, or remote to get the FCC ID number from, will they be able to send me the correct remote just by the year model?
