I've heard and seen the chrome exhaust tips for a 2001. This is before they came through the valance. Do they make tip extensions that attach to the downturned pipe and come out under the valance? Basically chrome tip extansions that don't require cutting? If anyone has any info. on what/where/how I'd appreciate it.

 

Audi sells tips (see the www.clairparts.com site) that do not require you to cut the valence. IMO, it does not look very nice and is not worth it. Cutting thorugh the valence is easy, done all the time, and well documented as a DIY. Follow the link in my sig to my registry page. Once there, follow the link to Stoney's Links. LLTek does have a kit. reasonably priced as well. im waiting until I get my new exhaust to do it though. GHL maybe
