2001 Audi a6 won't start
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum community and need some help(take it easy on me!)
I have a 2001 Audi a6 4.2l Quattro. Sometimes it starts so,etimes it doesn't. When it does not start it normally rough idles and stalls.
I believe I hear the fuel pump when I turn the key but not sure if the module could still cause this. Other research suggest the crank sensor.
I currently have no check engine light codes that deal with starting (just emission codes).
Please let me know what your thoughts are, if you have more diagnosing questions, and possibly prices to fix or DIY guides.
Thanks all

Consider a couple of things, fuel pump isn't a bad thought though
1) when were the coil packs replaced?
2) when were the spark plugs replaced, properly gapped?
3) When were the spark wires replaced.
4) Do you have any cracked hoses or vac leaks you are aware of?

Hiya
If you don't know about the service history, I'd really recommend to start with my list. They all contribute towards a vehicle not starting.
As for the vac lines, just look and follow hoses. if they show signs of cracking = replace.
