I can't open the rear lid on my Avant, not with remote, not with inside button release and not with the key. Took it to the dealership; of course they will look at it but said it will be pricey. I can't find an emergency release inside the trunk area. Tried to remove rear panel, no luck.
Any thoughts? I really don't want to pay to fix it as I've sunk some money into this car already and this is my last straw. May go with XC 70, better gas mileage and can be had for a bit less. But I do luv the look of my Avant. Help a brother out!

 

You have to remove the screws in the interior handle to get the panel off. Itll be pretty hard with the hatch not opening. Youll have to just pull those handles really hard once you remove the screws.
