Well some months back I was trying to find why my car was misfiring.. Changed the spark plugs, nothing. Coil packs, nothing changes.. And after doing a compression test it was a result of bent valves all on one side.. So after $220 of parts intake + exhaust valves and $300 labor the engine is working like a charm.. We are picking up the car on Wednesday and looking forward on posting videos and pics of how the car is running, well if anyone is interested.. So please comment on what do you think did I get a good deal on the parts and labor.. Comment below, I love comments lol..

 

Did you find out what caused the bent valves? Usually this would be caused by the timing belt breaking or jumping a tooth etc. As far as whether or not you got a deal - yeah $300 is pretty cheap to rebuild a cylinder head.

 

well i recently had an auto check, and there resulted to be a collision with an animal.. my guess is that when the previous owners had the car, the belt snapped when it hit the animal.. and i think that they tried to put a new belt, but they gave up and put the car on auction with clean title. when the car arrived the timing belt was fairly knew but the markers were not aligned on the right head. so thats the story..
