With the error code you specified, the SAP is most likely at fault. Ensure the T pipe is affixed to the pump's outlet port first. If not, reconnect and clear the CEL and see what happens. If not and you find the t pipe from the pump to be connected securely, fix or replace the SAP and clear the errors. Drive around for a day or two and re-scan to make sure the monitors have reset and the readiness checks out without issues.

The T pipe is nice and secured. I checked it and see no issues there. I had cleared the code twice and it came back on again. Well, the pump has not come on for the past three days, seems like the pump has gone completely bad or the solenoid is toast. I still have to check the vacuum lines going to the combi valves, not sure where all it connects but will check again and let you know.

Just a quick update. I asked my friend to make sure the pump was connected since he said it didn't turn on for the past few days after we tested the pump. He checked it last night and it was not connected so he plugged it back and the pump turned on with a large whine (sounds like a jet engine ). Anyways, he scanned the codes and it was P0491 and P0492, so today he brought it back to me and we decided to see if we could fix the whine, so got some 608ZZ bearings from a local Fastenal store and they were like .92 cents each.

8mm ID x 22mm 608-ZZ DblShield Radial Ball Brng | Fastenal

Then took the pump apart and removed both bearings out and they were both worn out and stiff. Installed new bearings, cleaned the motor and installed everything back together. The pump runs like new and very quiet. It's very hard to tell if it runs with engine on unless one touches the pump. Anyways, I cleared the codes secured the T pipe back nice and tight. We'll see if it acts up again and turn on only on certain days. Keeping our finger crosssed and hope to see no issues.

Also I checked the solenoid with a multimeter and it showed 23.8 ohms. I read somewhere that it should be between 25 to 35 ohms. I hope this solenoid is okay and not going bad.

Thanks.

Another update, so far the pump is working great and running like new with no CEL.

Thanks.

okay, so the pump is working fine but the code came back again...weird!

I'm thinking now it's the solenoid because it showed only 23.8 ohms when I checked with the multimeter.

I read somewhere it should show the between 25 to 35 ohms. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.
