Default 2005 A6 GPS

I have a 2005 A6 4.2. I did not get factory GPS when I bought the car. I just found out the factory GPS can be dealer installed. Does anyone know how much it costs (US$ please)?

If you search the C6 A6 forum in audiworld, you'll probably come across someone that did this install. He didn't quote any prices, but I guess it will probably run you $1500+....would be my guess. Check with the dealer for the appropriate part#s and costs. From what I understand, you just need to purchase the Nav drive (I believe your 4.2 will have the GPS antenna already built into the submarine fin on the roof) and plug it into the drivers' trunk area. You'll probably need to use a VAGCOM to program it.

Good luck!

I was told by my dealer that they could install the Nav system for $1800.
