2005 A6: MP3 options in factory stereo?
I just got a new 2005 A6. Beautiful car, I really like it. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to wire an MP3 player into it. What are my options?
It seems that well known products like PhatNoise or IceLink don't work with the new 2005 electronics (nor the 2004/2005 A8). I'd settle for a basic AUX in jack, but something that integrates into the chooser controls would be awesome. Does PIE have an adapter that gives basic line in on the 2005 A6? Anything with fancier control options?
My particular car has the Nav option, Sirius radio, and a 6 CD changer in the glovebox. I'd be willing to sacrifice the satellite or CD changer if it meant I could plug in an MP3 player. What I'm really looking for is something that's going to just work.

RE: 2005 A6: MP3 options in factory stereo?
I just picked up my 2005 A6 this month and I am a bit disappointed as well.
I think that we need to ensure that Audi knows that this is something that the consumers want in their vehicles.
I spoke with the Phatnoise people and they state that Audi has not contacted them to develope the interface for the Phatbox.
I would suggest you call 1-877-ASK-PHAT (Audi Support) and let them know that you are interested in them developing the interface between MMI and the Phatbox.
