Can anyone tell me which options are dealer installed and which are factory installed? I'm interested in a prior year new A3 but it has cloth seats. That's a no-go. Can they switch them to leather, or would it be a half solution?

For enough money you can get leather factory seats and have the dealer install them, but I'd invest in some Recaros first.

In general, only the simplest bolt-on options are dealer install.
