Default 2006 A6 4.2 V8 Timing Chain or Belt
I am close to buying a 2006 4.2 A6 with 110,000 miles but have recieved conflicting reports on whether it has the Timing Chain or Belt (even from Audi Service mgrs). Please help, because I would need to negotiate the Belt change into the price if it needs the belt service.
Also, anyone with this engine have some mileage feedback?

When changing timing chain tensioner you do not have to remove the timing belt!
