Default 2006 A6 wont start

Good morning, this is my first time posting on any car forum so I apologize if I do something incorrectly.

I have a 2006 Audi A6(3.2) and yesterday spontaneously it refused to start. I put the key in, the accessories all turn on, however when I turn the ignition nothing happens. I thought that I could hear a faint clicking sound but it was too light to tell for certain. I moved the gear shift back and forwards to ensure it was in park and it appears to be. The key is relatively new(6 months) and I have had no problems with it before. I thought it was the battery so first I tried to jump the car and then charged the battery using a battery charger. The battery charger registers the battery as full, as well as the Audi Car diagnostic(100%). As the accessories all turn on I do not believe it to be the alternator. Between the last time I drove it and yesterday when it refused to start nothing changed and it simply sat in my driveway.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

This could be a faulty ignition switch. I get the same issues on my 2.7T when it's cold out. (Like, 5F degrees outside)I guess I should get around to fixing that 'cause I'm running out of time

I've also heard of faulty engine speed sensors causing a no start issue.
