I've just ordered my navigation retrofit kit...(DVD drive and the wire harness kit) and should be here by Friday.

When I looked in the trunk (left side where the unit will go) I see a spare harness with what looks like a power cable, fibre optic cables (two wires connected together in a loop) and what apears to be a connection for the antenna. Was my vehicle already wired for navigation or is this harness for something else? It is secured to the rack holding the tuner and amp using a tie - the ends of all of the connectors are covered with foam for protection.

Any help would be appreciated.

On my 2005 A6, the wires you mentioned were for the satellite radio.
